More pictures of the family

I wanted to take more pictures of Spencer and all of his cousin's but I kept forgetting to have it done. We did get one of Bethany, Rebekah and Naomi with Spencer. We also got one with Grandma and Grandpa Pike. We had a great time going to Utah for the holidays and it was hard to say good-bye but we enjoyed spending time with our families.

Pictures of the Family

Here is a picture of Mom, Dad and all the grandson's. They are getting a their 1st granddaughter in Feb, well probably January. This is the 1st picture with all of the boys and Boston.

The other picture is of Spencer, me and Spencer's Great Grandma Miller.

Christmas Parties

Jared's family decided to do the Family Christmas Eve party on Monday Dec 26th in the morning. We ate breakfast then we exchanged gifts with everyone. It was really fun to get to see his family and breakfast was really good. Then later that day my family had a party and we ate dinner then opened more presents. We had a fun time spending time with both families.

Christmas

We spent the day with Jared's family. We were going to go to church with them but Spencer woke up throwing up. We decided to stay home with him and we took our time opening presents. Then later on Jared's 3 sister's and their families came over to celebrate Christmas and have dinner. It was a lot of fun getting to see them and how much the kids have grown. Here are a few pictures of Christmas.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with my family. We went over early for breakfast and stayed until the Christmas Eve Family Party was over. Everyone came over so the kids could decorate Christmas cookies, it was fun to get to see every for most of the day. Spencer and Boston found some bells at my parents house that they loved. It was our 1st time meeting baby Boston. He was born in March while we were in Virginia. We took a picture of Boston and Spencer on the stairs trying to get the bells down. Then we headed over to the Christmas Eve party where Santa came to visit and brought a present for each children.

Spencer's 1st time Flying

We flew out of Ronald Reagan Airport on the 23rd of December. Our flight didn't leave until 11:50 Eastern time and we were there by 9:00. While we waiting for flight, Spencer was so excited, he kept seeing the airplanes take off and land and would call them helicopter's. We told him over and over that it was an airplane not a helicopter but there is no reasoning with a 19 month old. They were helicopter to him. When we boarded the plane and found our seats he was so curious about everything on the airplane. He loved to put up and down the tray and he even found Kermit the frog on the front cover of the magazine that the airlines had. He kept saying frog the whole time. When the plane started to move he got excited but when it lifted off the ground he had to look over and me and Jared to make sure we weren't scared when he saw us smiling he smiled and enjoyed it. He loved to watch the clouds out the windows and then he got drowsy and fell asleep for most of the 1st leg of our flight. He woke up just as we were descending to land in MN where we had a 45 min layover. Just as we landed he looked out the window and saw all the airplanes and kept saying helicopter. It was pretty funny. We had to hurry over to so we could get on our connecting flight to SLC. He stayed awake the whole connecting flight, luckily we had brought some toys for him to unwrap and they kept him busy for most of the flight. I felt really bad he spilled water on our neighbor right before we landed in SLC. I was really embarrassed but the guy didn't seem too onry about it. It was so good to see the Mountains as were landing in Utah. I kept telling Spencer what we were flying over and was excited. The baby really liked flying too because I felt it for the 1st time while we were flying. It was really active. He is a picture of us on the airplane.

Seeing Santa at Potomac Vista

Our apartment complex had Santa come and visit the children. We took Spencer over to see him, he wasn't so sure about a man in a red suit. We got picture with him and Santa and a picture with Santa's hat on his head.

Putting up our Christmas Tree

Spencer and I put up the Christmas tree will Jared was at work. As you can see Spencer thought that the branches needed to go down not out. I thought it was pretty good that he figured out that they went in the slats. It was quite funny so I had to take a picture. I didn't take a picture after we got it all decorated and it didn't last Spencer kept redecorating it and so the ornaments ended up on the top half of the tree.

December 2011

I can't believe it is December already. This year really has gone fast. We are getting exciting to spend the holidays in Utah. We leave on the 23rd and get to stay until the 2nd of January. I'm a little nervous about the plan trip with Spencer. I have been hearing that horror stories about traveling with a toddler. We will see how well he does. Well Spencer is getting so big and learning things each day. He loves helicopters and anything that has wings he calls a helicopter. He also loves to elephant and say's it so cute. He is full of energy and keeps me busy. I'm feeling like I have more energy and I'm not as tired as was. I'm into my second trimester and we will find out what we are having in January. We are super excited to announce that we have decided and are qualified to purchase a house. We were going to start looking before we go home for Christmas but with the timing of everything it will have to wait until we get back in January. It will give us something to look forward to after the holidays.
